WELCOME
to the Public Meeting #2
VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE
The purpose of this open house was to share identified areas of concern and solicit feedback on preliminary recommendations developed for the greater triangle area. The preliminary recommendations were identified through previous public involvement efforts in May and June of 2021 as well as a detailed analysis of existing and projected conditions. The identified recommendations are intended to address the areas of concern and improve the transportation system over the 20-year planning horizon. This meeting was a chance for the public to learn more about the plan and share feedback on the proposed recommendations.
The open house was active from March 1, 2022 to April 1, 2022. Results from the meeting will be used to finalize the plan.
A live online presentation was held on

VISIONARY TRANSPORTATION NETWORK
A long-term vision of the transportation network within the GTATP study area was developed based on the anticipated development and corridor growth within the area. Both the visionary major street network (link to PDF) and visionary non-motorized network (link to PDF) are shown on the map below. The map illustrates the visionary networks at full build-out, which may not be developed for many decades to come. Establishing a visionary network helps ensure that future roads are developed in an efficient and logical fashion, consistent with community planning goals.
